The Global Ocean Needs Your Voice

November has been an eventful month in the world. For the global ocean, the future now seems more unforeseeable than ever before. What do we do now?

One thing is certain. Climate change is not an issue that can be postponed to another election. The arctic ice cap is melting at speeds never seen before. Record breaking global temperatures are reported month after month.

As divers, we see the impacts first hand: plastic pollution, heating and over-fishing drain marine life. Ocean acidification causes coral bleaching and disappearing reefs.

But with that knowledge, we can all be ambassadors of the oceans, raising awareness and increase literacy around us. During next year, we will start a series of efforts to support our mission — making the oceans universally accessible by anyone, everywhere. And you are already helping out. The vast amount of data we collect in logs will be an essential part in executing this mission.

We will also launch our own global ambassador program, and with Oceans 2.0 we are adding more ways to collect and share environmental reports. Join us to be a voice for the oceans’ defence and let future generations be able to experience a teeming world underwater. Thanks again for being a big part in Oceans’ future.
