HATCH is looking for aquaculture startups

Aquaculture investor HATCH is inviting applications for its fourth accelerator programme, which offers 10 companies mentorship, financing of up to $130 000 ($75 000 in cash. $55 000 are in-kind services, including the program) and industry access.

The company is looking for seed or pre-seed startups with innovative and scalable solutions for relevant aquaculture problems. The requirements is that the team has at least two people and they are willing to focus 100% on their venture with an initial proof-of-concept. Additionally, they require them to move to one of the HATCH locations (Hawaii, Bergen, Singapore) for at least the duration of the program (15 weeks). In return, HATCH will receive 8% equity of your company in form of a convertible loan note.

  • Size and accessibility of the market

After the program ends, HATCH offers free office space for participants for up to nine months post programme. HATCH will continue to play a hands-on role assisting participants to navigate the minefield of raising finance, sorting out business propositions, arranging agreements with shareholders and investors, and, most important of all, finding customers.
